We're so close!

£2,270.50

So, we have hit £2000 and are now counting down to our final target of £3000. In fact, we are 76% funded with 26 days to go! That's incredible! We have less then £800 until we are fully funded and can start pushing into unknown territory (Dare we dream of making MORE than our target?)!

Things have been getting extremely busy and very exciting here and I thought it was about time to fill you in on some of the excitement! You are, after all, the reason this film will get made!

Last week we held our first auditions for the lead role of Anderson and were EXTREMELY grateful to the Mercure Hotel in Nottingham for letting us use their Charles Boardroom for free. How nice are they? We saw several hopefuls who were very talented and have given us a tough decision. We are still negotiating with agents of other actors and should have our Anderson by the middle of next week. You guys will be the FIRST to know!

Right now we are responding to some interview questions set by the good folks at the Young Creative Council who approached us to feature on their blog so we should get some additional exposure when that goes live. One of the things they have been looking forward to is featuring some of our concept art produced by the exceptional Paul Burrows but I couldn't possibly let them do that without first giving you a sneak peek! In fact, how about a walkthrough in true DVD extra style?

Here is the original, seriously rough, storyboard image. This image and a bunch of chats between myself and Paul helped to shape the work he has since done.

His first step was to map out the composition and get a feel for who 'Anderson' is, a tough thing to do before we have cast anybody!

Now take a look at the final stunning image below, setting the tone for the opening scene in Mouse perfectly as Anderson peers through the oversized mouse hole, plotting his escape!

We are so, so grateful to Paul for his stunning work and cannot wait to show you the remaining images in the next few days!
